Father & son team Richard and Alan produce around 3,000 litres of traditional 100% juice product a year made with traditional apples sourced from local orchards in the heart of Somerset. Whilst It is still mainly a hobby for them, they have won prizes at many leading competitions at Country Shows, in particular The Bath and West Show – worlds premier competition. This include two firsts (gold) and a second for the premium french style Keeved. Both Alan and Richard are experienced judges and both give talks on the history and heritage. Ben Crossman comes from an important line of Somerset cider makers and has been making cider for more than 36 years, after a conversation with his Grandfather, Victor Naish about wanting to have a go at using his equipment.
