Founded in 1956, the MENDIP MORRIS MEN have regularly danced throughout the North Somerset area performing the traditional dances of the Cotswolds. The Mendip Morris Men can be identified by their red, gold and blue baldrics (crossed sashes), adorned with King Alfred's jewel at the back and the Somerset dragon at the front. Black breeches and gaily decorated straw hats complete the outfit. A firm favourite and regular fixture at the Fayre each year.
Our ever popular Swing Boats, continue to thrill the younger generation to this day!
A staple of fairgrounds and Seaside resorts in days gone by...Pure simple green entertainment!

Hold tight!...here we go!...Whoopee!

Valley Arts are a group of volunteers committed to building a new performance space in the Chew Valley. Please come and say hi and show support for this worthy project.
We’re a community dedicated to the protection of oceans, waves, beaches and wildlife. We fight long and hard to protect what we love and we won’t stop until it’s completely clean, safe and protected for everyone, forever.

From humble beginnings in Porthtowan Village Hall in 1990, we’ve stayed close to our roots and continue to be based just up the road at our St Agnes HQ where we can keep an eye on the sea.

Just 12 of us work in the office full time, but it’s really thanks to people like you who support our work through membership donations, volunteering, signing petitions, buying from our shop and spreading the word that allows our impact to be widely felt.

BLAGDON ORCHARD GROUP
Of Apples and Orchards - Book Launch

Of Apples and Orchards is drawn from the first 8 years of Blagdon Orchard Group’s existence and contains contributions from committee members past and present as well as many villagers. The book has a foreword from Pete Budd of the Wurzels and chapters covering: Our Orchard Heritage; Orchard Customs and Traditions; Somerset – the Heartland of Cider; Art and Craft from the Orchard; Harvesting and Storing Apples; and Recipes.

We hope that it will equally delight and inform those who live locally as well as people throughout Somerset who have an interest in orchards.

The band started out playing light Jazz but then branched out into Spanish, Latin and a range of eclectic covers. They will mess with everything from Muse to Andy Williams and as long as it has a strong melody. You hear the song, you know the song but you can’t quite work out what it is. It can take hours for the penny to drop that we were indeed playing a Kylie cover.
SWYTCH
Talented Folk trio who will wistfully fill the air with sweet songs of life.

Jamie and Law formed alternative folk group ‘Swytch ‘ last year , Bob joins them on percussion. They made their Glastonbury debut last year and played at many other small festivals. Expect Heady harmonies with a rhythmic twist from this West Country Trio.

ELECTRIC GREEN
Blues, blues, blues......lie back in your hay bail and drift off to this exemplary guitarist.
