Founded in 1956, the MENDIP MORRIS MEN have regularly danced throughout the North Somerset area performing the traditional dances of the Cotswolds. The Mendip Morris Men can be identified by their red, gold and blue baldrics (crossed sashes), adorned with King Alfred's jewel at the back and the Somerset dragon at the front. Black breeches and gaily decorated straw hats complete the outfit. A firm favourite and regular fixture at the Fayre each year.
BUCKING BRONCO
A great fun crazy ride for all wannabe cowboys and cowgirls! A soft bodied mechanical rodeo bull in an inflatable arena, operated by professional staff.
Tim and Jamie are professional entertainers who have been performing for over 15 years. They have performed for the Queen (and think she enjoyed it) and entertained with their stilt walking and other acts all over the world.
BEE KEEPER - JOHN SMYTHE
Local bee keeper John Smythe, friend of the Cider & Cheese Fayre has attended from the very start five years ago. He'll be here to talk to you about bee keeping with his hive and bees, plus plenty of lovely honey.

Move over Crufts! Local dog agility club Active Dog Services will be hosting our first ever dog show. There is a category to suit every pooch out there no matter what. 1. Best Rescue 2. Best Under 6 Mths 3. Best Over 10 yrs, Handsomest Boy, Most Like Owner, Prettiest Girl and Best In Show. There will be prizes, special guest judges and a host of canine related treats for our furry friends and their owners. So bring them along whether they be big, small, pedigree, mutt, young or old – we're celebrating the canine kingdom!
Valley Arts are a group of volunteers committed to building a new performance space in the Chew Valley. Please come and say hi and show support for this worthy project.
You will remember her from Countryfile but most recently for her latest television series on ITV, 'Britain's Best Walks'. Presenter Julia Bradbury will be joining us at the Fayre to sign her latest book, 'Unforgettable Walks'.

Sicknote Steve recreates the authentic sound of the original hobo bluesman. No technical trickery here. He's not just a tribute act but a genuine Welsh soul brother to the much loved Seasick Steve. He performs on a variety of home made instruments - his electrifying slide playing is legendary. His shows are always full of energy and laced with a generous dose of humour.
Kit Lear is a young talented local singer songwriter from Ubley . He covers songs by artists who inspire him such as Coldplay and Sam Smith but also writes his own original compositions which he plays on acoustic guitar.
Bristol's most exciting Folk Pop Band have been busy building a strong reputation for fusing their authentic sound with stellar songwriting and breakneck live shows.
Lead Singer William Hardiman and Lead Guitarist Simon Campbell started writing songs together as classmates and have been perfecting their craft ever since. Now working either as a dynamic duo or as leaders of a powerhouse band they bring this unique sound to you with style, sincerity and Rock & Roll exuberance.

Beatroots plays energetic carnival style samba music mixing African, Asian and Latin-American rhythms and is one of the UK’s longest established community samba groups. The group was started in Reading in 1996 by Readipop founder, Gavin Lombos and is influenced by the Bahian rhythms of Salvador, Brazil. The band has gone on to perform at many major events and festivals including Entertaining the olympic crowds at Eton Dorney during London 2012, London’s millennium celebrations, WOMAD, The Thames Festival and Live Earth at Wembley. Members of the group drummed in the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony.

DAYTIME MUSIC MAIN FIELD - CIDER TENT

Young, fun and exciting Ceilidh band guaranteed to make you dance your socks off. Repertoire consists of popular folk tunes as well as special arrangements of pop and rock songs (think Springsteen, Erasure, Levellers…).
A regular fixture at the Cider & Cheese Fayre and also the Priddy Folk Festival, they are setting their sights on playing Glastonbury 2017.
Vox in Frox is an all-female chamber choir based in the Chew Valley. Made up of just 18 singers, their sound is a glorious blend of soaring sopranos and rich altos. They perform a wide range of music from gospel to sacred, folk to pop and everything in between.

Vox in Frox have just won AGAIN at the 2016 Midsomerset Festival! They are very proud to have been awarded 'Outstanding' in the Folk Song class.
